Tenderly Raises $15.3M Series A Led by Accel to Rethink Web3 Development Experience

We are thrilled to share this news with you so let’s unpack it first. Earlier this year we raised $3.3M Seed round and found terrific partners in Point Nine Capital, Version One Ventures and helloworld. After that, time flew by unbelievably fast as we started to ramp up development and hiring and we didn’t get a chance to share this with you properly.

So now we have an even bigger update - we raised $15.3M in Series A led by Accel, with participation from existing investors and new angel investors, including Nicolas Dessaigne (Co-founder of Algolia), Mirko Novakovic (Co-founder of Instana) and Guillermo Rauch (CEO of Vercel). We are very grateful for finding great partners with experience in building dev tools and products and we hope to learn from them in the future so we can build a better experience for all our users.

This means that we’ll now be able to build everything we planned but at a faster pace - expand the core offering with new tools and services, bring in more talented people and continue improving our platform. Of course, all this wouldn’t be possible without all of you and your feedback: it’s not an understatement that more than half of Tenderly was built with our users’ help.

Tenderly as an Ethereum developer platform

Ever since we started building Tenderly, our goal has been to create an all-encompassing platform that will make developers’ lives easier. Now we are in the position to take this broad concept and turn it into reality. For us Ethereum developer platform includes a variety of tools and services that cater to developers and supports them in different stages of the product development life-cycle.

So far our product has been used by teams big and small, who seek a professional-grade experience that helps them streamline their development process - from the local machine all the way to production and beyond. Companies like Nexus Mutual, yearn, Aave, Uniswap, Chainlink, Sushi Swap, Maker, InstaDApp, DeFi Saver and others are using Tenderly daily as an essential part of their developer toolbox - for monitoring Ethereum smart contracts, real-time alerting, smart contract simulations, troubleshooting or for more complex custom integrations.

The future is bright for Ethereum

I think it’s a given that we believe in decentralized software and that we bet on the Ethereum Ecosystem. Being a part of this global movement and seeing the innovation firsthand inspires us to push Tenderly forward and empower all developers building decentralized platforms, protocols and DApps.

Seeing and closely following everything that’s happening in the space, from DeFi summer and NFTs to the proliferation of genius L2 solutions, we can’t wait to see what the future holds. When we entered the space we knew that we were strapping ourselves to a rocket headed for the Moon but never in our wildest dreams could we guessed that the ecosystem would develop at such a rapid pace. That’s why we are committed to building a developer platform that gives all necessary rocket fuel to teams and individuals so they can focus on building the next big thing while we take care of the rest.

Looking ahead Tenderly will continue to create modules, tools and services to support an even bigger part of the development lifecycle. Our goal is to further cement Tenderly as the best destination for all developers looking to monitor, test and debug smart contracts, simulate transitions, build better DApps and help improve the Ethereum ecosystem. We want to bring the Tenderly Quality™️ of products to new verticals and create new use cases in industry segments that are itching for innovation.
